After Anakin's betrayal to the Dark Side, the Republic is now under the control of the Empire. Many of the Jedi have defected to join the Dark Side. However, Jedi loyal to the Order and the Republic, along with a group of resistance fighters, have begun a Rebellion against the Emperor. While the fight against the Empire is bleak, hope remains among the young Jedi. Fall of the Republic is based between Episodes III and IV of George Lucas' Star Wars movies.
In the story, a Jedi and his apprentice search for old Jedi willing to join the rebellion. They encounter two traitors, but also old an Jedi friend who joins their cause. Another Jedi with two young apprentices continues to train them and prepare them for the long struggle to come. Their training is interrupted by the ambush of their convoy. The surviors gather on the planet's surface and are attached by traitor Jedi. The final battle is not just against their enemies, but also against the dark side within themselves.
In a style reminiscent of George Lucas' Star Wars Episodes I & II, the film explores the moral motivation of the Jedi and the choice of hope against evil. It contains both light-hearted and serious moments. Fall of the Republic occurs between Episodes III and IV of George Lucas' Star Wars movies.
